A few safe checks can help.

Start with simple, external checks. Stop if there is smoke, sparking, a burning smell, damaged wiring, an electric shock or water near electrics.

Safety first. Switch off and isolate power only when it is safe to do so. Do not touch wet switches, open appliance casings, bypass safety devices or attempt refrigerant/high-voltage work. Call for qualified help.

A little care. A cooler home.

Clean user-removable filters according to the manual, keep airflow paths clear and leave space around the outdoor unit. Never spray water into electrical sections or attempt refrigerant work yourself.

  • Check that cooling mode is selected and doors/windows are closed.
  • Switch the unit off if water is approaching a socket or wiring.
  • Stop using it. Do not keep resetting the breaker.

Get laundry day back on track.

Use the correct detergent type and dose. Avoid overloads, clear pockets and let the drum and detergent drawer dry when safe. Do not open filters while water is hot, force a locked door or bypass safety switches.

  • Check for a visibly kinked external drain hose. Follow the manual before opening any user-accessible filter.
  • Pause safely and redistribute the load after the drum stops and the door unlocks.
  • Stop the cycle; do not hold or climb on the machine.

Bring the cool back to your kitchen.

Keep ventilation clear, avoid overpacking air vents and check that the door closes fully. Clean only accessible surfaces according to the manual. Protect temperature-sensitive food if cooling fails; do not assume it is safe because the appliance light still works.

  • Check temperature settings, door closure and blocked internal air vents.
  • Keep doors closed as much as possible and arrange alternative cold storage for perishables.
  • Do not use sharp tools or a heat gun to remove ice.

Back to your favourite big-screen moments.

Use a soft dry microfibre cloth and follow the screen-cleaning instructions. Never spray liquid directly onto the screen or open the back cover. Arrange safe handling for large screens and do not share account passwords with a technician.

  • Check the selected input and try another known-working source.
  • Check the plug and power switch without opening the television.
  • Avoid pressing the screen or applying DIY repair liquids.

Make everyday cooking convenient again.

Keep the cavity clean using the manufacturer's method, use approved cookware and never operate the microwave empty. Do not remove the outer casing, touch internal components or attempt capacitor work even after unplugging.

  • Check the selected mode and settings; never run the oven empty to test it.
  • Stop use and disconnect power if safe. Do not repeat the test.
  • With power disconnected, check that the tray and roller ring are seated correctly.
